Giyani Regional Mall

Giyani Regional Mall:

A 31 000m² extension is proposed to the existing 11 000m² Masingita Mall, located on Malamulele Road in Giyani resulting in a total GLA of 42 000m². This will be the biggest shopping centre in the Mopani District.

The design of the centre seeks to acknowledge its rural context in a contemporary language. The mall opens up to the riverine that runs from the north eastern side through to the south western side of the site.  This is where the hub of the centre is and where the entertainment and food court is situated.

The Giyani Centre design allows for a place of celebration and collective gathering, and affirms community and family life.

In addition to the anchors, there will be a number of fashion outlets, including but not limited to the Foschini Group, the Pepkor Group, the Edcon Group, Truworths and the first Woolworths to enter the rural market.

This project is not only an upgrade of Masingita Mall but an upgrade of the entire Giyani CBD. Thus it is easily accessible to all in the town, either by foot, public transport or private vehicles. The extension to the centre will be anchored by Shoprite, Boxer and Game. Centre opening will take place in April 2019.

good day, I am a young lady who grew up in Giyani and now living in JHB. to see our little town develop to these heights makes one happy. when growing up the only malls we could ever go to was Savanna mall in Pietersburg and the mall in Tzaneen. it only happened once in a while for not so privileged family that I come from. now it gives me joy that even a normal poor child will grow up knowing what a real mall looks like.
